Kuwait- OIC condemns Iraq's terrorist bombing


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) JEDDAH, Nov 21 (KUNA) -- The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned a terrorist car bomb explosion that rocked the northern Iraqi city of Tuz Khurmatu, killing some 20 people and injuring over 40 others.

OIC Secretary General Dr. Yusuf Al-Othaimeen said in a statement these terrorist acts which targeted innocent civilians contradicted with Islamic teachings and humanitarian values.

He urged the Iraqi government and people to confront terrorism in full force.

The OIC, he said, was committed to helping the Iraqi government hold a national reconciliation conference in the Saudi holy city of Makkah.

He extended condolences for families of the victims and wished speedy recovery for the wounded.

A car bomb went off near a popular market in the center of Tuz Khurmatu of Saladin Governorate. (end) nh.bs
