Morocco- MACECE to Celebrate 45th Anniversary in Rabat

(MENAFN - Morocco World News) Rabat – The Moroccan-American Commission for Educational and Cultural Exchange (MACECE) will celebrate its 45th anniversary on November 9 at 7 p.m. at the View-Forum Hotel in Hay Riyad, Rabat.

The celebration will also include a Fulbright Alumni Award ceremony.

MACECE was established in 1982 following an agreement signed between the Kingdom of Morocco and .

For 35 years, MACECE has worked to promote the spirit of traditional friendship between the two nations through educational and cultural exchanges. The Commission administers several categories of , research, and teaching through the prestigious Fulbright International Scholarship.

Fulbright are grants awarded in the spirit of establishing strong relations between Morocco and , strengthening academic standards, and developing professional partnerships between the two nations.

The Fulbright Program began in 1947 and now operates in 160 countries around the world. The program started in Morocco in 1952, and the Commission started its work in 1982. Since then, more than 2.400 Moroccans and Americans have crossed the Atlantic for a constructive and lasting academic exchange.

Each year the Commission awards Master's scholarships, which are funded by Morocco and the US, for to pursue their studies in .

To be eligible for the program, applicants must meet certain criteria including passing two tests: TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language), GRE (Graduate Record Examinations General Test) for most fields of study, or the GMAT (Graduate Management Achievement Test) for Business Administration.
