Abu Dhabi Ladies Club will soon be handed over to ADSC: Musanada

ABU DHABI, 30th September, 2017 (WAM) -- Abu Dhabi General Services Company, Musanada, has revealed that the work in the Abu Dhabi Ladies Club project is nearly complete, to be eventually handed over to Abu Dhabi Sports Council, ADSC, by end of the year.

This forms part of Musanada's efforts to contribute to achievement of the objectives of Abu Dhabi Plan, supporting UAE women and enhancing their active social and sport engagement.

Noting the importance of the project, Aref Hamad Al Awani, General Secretary of ADSC, highlighted the facility's role in supporting the constant development and growth witnessed by the sport and community sector in general, emphasising that these projects reflect the unlimited support and concern of our prudent leadership for the urban development and prosperity experienced by our country at all fronts.

He further indicated that Abu Dhabi Ladies Club represents an important addition and will serve a large segment of the community with the diversified sports and social and recreational activities.

Mohamed Omar Al Hashmi, Musanada's Buildings Acting Director, said, "The AED 205-Million project, strategically located next to the Armed Forces Officers Club on Al Khaleej Al Arabi Street and stretching over 17,000 square metres for the main club, features a distinguished design developed in line with highest international standards, and represents an additional landmark for further engagement of UAE women to achieve further successes."

The project consists of a 2,000-square-meter main building including the main lobby that overlooks the outdoor swimming pool. It also includes a sport section comprising sport halls, an indoor semi-Olympic-sized swimming pool, a training swimming pool, a multipurpose hall, a squash court with the necessary accessories, in addition to the main restaurant which is linked to kitchens fitted out with state-of-the-art equipment, a women spa adjacent to a beauty center and a crafts educational center.
