(MENAFN - Qatar News Agency) Ramallah January 17 (QNA) - President of Palestine Mahmoud Abbas met here on Sunday with India's Minister of External Affairs Sushma Swaraj and the accompanying delegation.
During the meeting Abbas informed the Indian Minister on the latest developments in Palestine.
He stressed that the Palestinian issue is the centre of the conflict in the region adding that achieving peace by implementing the Arab peace initiative for establishing the independent Palestinian State on the 1967 borders with its capital in Jerusalem will guarantee peace and stability in the region and the world.
The Indian Minister of External Affairs affirmed her country's stance in support of the political process on basis of the two-state solution as well as continued political and economic support for the Palestinian people. (QNA)
