(MENAFN- Gulf Times) The inspectors of the intellectual property protection department at the Ministry of Economy and Commerce (MEC) have conducted a surprise inspection tour on the electronics shops at Msheireb and Najma areas in Doha.
A violation report was issued against a shop in Najma for illegally decoding a satellite TV channel.
The action was aimed at exercising a tighter control on protection of intellectual property rights and combating any potential attempts for fraud.
The MEC further affirmed that it would strictly deal with any such violations.
