(MENAFN - Muscat Daily) H H Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers, on Sunday met in his office Kamal Bashir al Dahan, Chief Justice of the Libyan Supreme Court and his accompanying delegation.
H H Sayyid Fahd talked about the sultanate's judiciary, the progress it has witnessed and the laws that have guaranteed its complete independence. This, he said, reflects the attention being accorded by His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said to the judiciary.
Their talks covered bilateral ties, means to promote cooperation in a number of fields and the exchange of expertise and experience in judiciary. They also reviewed developments in the regional arena.
Chief Justice Dahan expressed his pleasure on visiting the sultanate and said that Oman's judiciary has witnessed steady progress in a manner that facilitates procedures of litigation and delivering justice.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Dr Ishaq bin Ahmed al Busaidi, chairman of the Supreme Court and deputy chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council.
