Kuwait- Opposition eyes activation of youth committees


(MENAFN- Arab Times) The opposition Majority Bloc is meeting Sunday morning at the diwaniya of veteran former MP Ahmed Al-Saadoun to prepare for a gathering organized by 'the campaign to boycott elections' in the evening at Al-Erada Square. The opposition will further discuss the activation of youth committees in all of the five constituencies that will call for the boycott of the upcoming Parliament elections on Dec 1. Plans to organize another 'Nation's Dignity' march is also underway, say organizers on Twitter on Saturday, but did not announce a date for the march. Furthermore, liberal former MP Saleh Al-Mullah announced plans to formally appeal to the Constitutional Court against the decree of urgency that limited the number of electoral votes to one. He said he will hold a press conference on Monday in that regard. Meanwhile, former MP Musallam Al-Barrak commented on Twitter that "he has received sure information that (four) arrested twitter activists are being held in bad conditions . He said the activists "are being held separately with prisoners infected with aids or drug addicts and their health is deteriorating. He claimed that they were prevented from seeing their family and their lawyers.
