Ai Index Series Summit in association with NYSE Euronext & Index Awards
What: Ai and NYSE Euronext have come together to host this annual summit to profile African companies to the institutional investment community and Wall Street, through high level discussions and interactive match making sessions.
Why: There is increasing interest in developing Africa’s capital markets as African equities and African stock exchanges provide impressive US $ returns for investors. Many African equities have very attractive Price/Earnings ratios and offer investors a superior risk/return profile that is not affected by trends in the more developed markets. Economic growth in Africa is expected to buck global trends, accelerating from 6.1% in 2007 to 6.8% in 2008.
