(MENAFN - Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) The Public Authority for Agriculture Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAFR) on Tuesday, held a preparatory meeting with German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) delegation, on technical issues.
Director General of PAAFR engineer Faisal Al-Siddiqi and officials discussed with the visiting GIZ delegation on the agreed program and possibility of forming a working group to follow up the various ways of cooperation, according to PAAFR statement.
The visiting German delegation will discuss with PAAFR ways of cooperation, exchange international expertise belonging to GIZ in various technical fields, it added.
The talks will also deal with opportunities for scientific expertise and signed agreement between PAAFR and GIZ. PAAFR currently has new projects on food security, including various agricultural projects, statement pointed out.
PAFFR statement explained that the projects include cow breeding, milk production and sheep husbandry, fodder cultivation, land reclamation, organic farming, irrigation systems and rehabilitation of the environment as well as development of fungal plant and appropriate environmental solutions plus environment protection.
The projects also include training program for PAAFR, therefore expert could exchange modern scientific techniques with PAAFR groups in the scientific field.
