Chile: successor of President Bachelet to be elected

(MENAFN) For the purpose of deciding on a successor to Michelle Bachelet, Chileans are to vote in presidential elections.

Even though a total of eight nominees are running for election, conservative billionaire Sebastian Pinera is considered by voters to be most fit to take back his post which he occupied from 2010 to 2014.

Socialist contender Alejandro Guillier who used to be a journalist is believed to be the most reasonable rival to Mr. Pinera.

Moreover, voters are schedule on Sunday to decide on all 155 members of the lower house as well as half of the senate.
