(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Nov 14 (KUNA) -- Kuwait's Ambassador to Australia Najeeb Al-Bader has presented his credentials as the new non-resident ambassador to Papua New Guinea to the Governor General, Sir Bob Dadae . The top diplomat delivered the official papers at a formal reception that took place at presidential palace in the capital Port Moresby, where he conveyed greetings and well wishes from His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to the friendly people of Papua New Guinea.
On his part, Sir Dadae wished His Highness the Amir and the Kuwaiti people all the best.
He also expressd his country's gratitude for kuwait's support, contribution and humanitarian role played by the Kuwaiti Fund for Economic Development for launching a number of development projects in his country.
He also appreciated highly Kuwait's response to natural disasters, stressing on boosting bilateral coopertion in fields of trade and investments as well as agriculture and tourism.
Ambassador Al-Bader held bilateral meetings with the Deputy Prime Minister Charles Abel as well as other officials in ministries of foreign affairs, planning and development.
The independent State of Papua New Guinea, with a population of over eight million; based on the latest United Nations estimates, is an Oceanian country that occupies the eastern half of the island of New Guinea and its offshore islands in Melanesia, a region of the southwestern Pacific Ocean north of Australia. The western half of New Guinea forms the Indonesian provinces of Papua and West Papua.
