What to do when you can't pay your Dubai medical bills


(MENAFN- Khaleej Times) In the unfortunate event that you are unable to pay your medical bills in Dubai because of a personal financial crisis, the Dubai Health Authority has put in place a special service to bail you out.

Under the Musaada programme, patients need to file an application with the DHA, explaining their case and seek help. The authority, after vetting the case, helps to clear the medical bills of the patient.

Here is what you need to know about the Musaada programme: Who is eligible for the service?

Any insolvent patient in Dubai is eligible.

Fee:

The aspirant does not require to pay any fee to avail the service.

Procedure:

Fill the application through the community service offices in the DHA hospitals

Documents required:

- Passport copy

- Emirates ID copy

- Valid residency (Visa)

- Medical report

- Bank statement of last 3 months

Time of the service:

7:30 am to 2:30 pm on weekdays

Locations:

Social and community office in DHA head office and the community services offices in DHA hospitals.

It is important to note that the application shall be evaluated by the social and community office. The applicant can get a response in three working days. Whether full or half medical coverage will be provided is to be decided by the authority concerned.
