ICC pays tribute to Sardar Patel on birth anniversary

Embassy of India conducted through Indian Cultural Centre (ICC) the National Unity Day at the ICC Ashoka hall.

This annual commemoration known as the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas was introduced by the Government of India in 2014 and is held annually on the birthday of Sardar Vallabbhai Patel, on October 31.

The 142nd birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel was celebrated in a befitting manner to recognise his contribution to the freedom struggle and to the founding of independent and united India.

To commemorate this event, ICC organised programmes like audience quiz and a short documentary film on Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel

Around 350 people attended, including children from various Indian schools and Ideal Indian School participated in large numbers.

Special prizes were given away for the audience Quiz which saw enthusiastic participation.
