(MENAFN) According to Shanghai Customs, around 18,000 companies have joined the customs authorities in the Shanghai free trade zone since its opening in 2013.
13,600 private companies, over 3,200 foreign funded businesses, and 940 Chinese-foreign joint businesses are of the newly-joined firms.
The firms include 54 industries, about 94% are all-inclusive or retail firms, and 5% are financial ventures, while the others are responsible for transportation, storage and postal services.
This increase in firm registrations has improved the city's trade regardless of the nationally trade gloom.
