Oman- WCAS organises workshop on 'Positive Followership' for its staff


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Waljat College of Applied Sciences (WCAS) last week organised a guest lecture on 'Positive Followership' for academic and non-academic Arabic speaking staff members. Around 25 staff members participated. The resource person for the workshop was Khalfan al Araimi, international business facilitator, coach and speaker.

Dean of the college Professor (Dr) S L Gupta thanked Araimi for visiting the college and enlightening the effectiveness of positive followership. Zaid al Sheikaili welcomed the resource person and thanked him for coming to the college in spite of his busy schedule.

Araimi started the workshop with practical exercise where the participants had to role play a guided scenario that led to lot of probed questions and discussions on various topics on followership. He gave a number of practical tips on effectiveness at followership level and how to enhance leadership in any organisation by understanding five different types of followers.

He explained, by adopting followership, one improves their positive traits and behaviours to enhance the quality of leadership and ensure positive change for their overall career development.

The workshop was organised to enhance the positive followership which helps in the career development.

Majority of staff members attended the lecture and got benefited from it.
The session was interactive and participants thanked resource person for sharing knowledge.

At the end Professor (Dr) Gupta presented a memento to Araimi.
