Remains of 8 Lebanese soldiers found in border area


(MENAFN- Jordan News Agency) Beirut, Aug.27 (Petra) -- Remains of eight Lebanese soldiers, who have been in Daesh captivity since 2014, were found in the area of Jroud Arsal, in northeast Lebanon, the Lebanese Army said on Sunday.

A Lebanese Army statement said the army had retrieved the remains of eight soldiers, although it still needed to conduct DNA tests to confirm the identities.

An official statement will be issued regarding the identities of the soldiers.
