Turkish incursion in N. Iraq requires urgent Arab League meeting- Baghdad


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BAGHDAD Dec 10 (KUNA) -- Iraq called Thursday for an urgent meeting for the Arab League to discuss the Turkish military's incursion in northern Iraq.Iraqi Foreign Ministry spokesman Ahmad Jamal said in a statement that his country called for an urgent meeting for the Arab Foreign Ministers to discuss the issue which is deemed as a violation of international laws concerning relations amongst countries.He added that Iraq had also contacted representatives of states at the UNSC and other international partners to focus on the urgent issues.Iraq called on Turkey to pull its troops out from the outskirts of Mosul city or it will take the necessary steps to repel this unilateral action.
