Pivots Of Dashti's Grilling Proposal Full Of Constitutional Defects: MP

(MENAFN- Arab Times) MP Abdullah Al-Adwani found it strange that MP Abdul Hamid Dashti is involved in the interrogation of the Minister of Foreign Affairs sheikh Sabah Al-Khalid concerning Kuwait's foreign policies, reports Al-Jarida daily. Al-Adwani added the pivots of grilling proposal submitted by MP Dashti is full of constitutional defects that interfere in the activities of the Executive authority and meddle in the general policies of the state governed by HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad who's among the major Political leaders of the world.

Meanwhile, the timing of the grilling proposal and its objectives are not appropriate as Kuwait has made the grade recently in an international evaluation due to balanced policies implemented by Sheikh Sabah, coupled with the continuous international praise which the country receives clearly proving its foreign policies are genuine.

Al-Adwani's call against giving support to the grilling proposal is useless in the wake of total cooperation between the executive and legislative powers in the country that aims to attain development for the country and its people. In other news, a strain in the relations between the executive and legislative authorities was experienced during the 14th legislative session due to the insistence of the Minister of Oil and State Minister for National Assembly Affairs Dr Ali Al-Omair to change some of the board members of Kuwait Petroleum Corporation (KPC), reports Al-Seyassah daily quoting reliable sources. They stressed that the decision taken by Dr Al-Omair have increased the tension between the two authorities to a new degree, while some officials of the oil sector are delaying the submission of their resignations to observe the efforts taken to remove the crisis.

In this context, MP Rakan Al-Nesf insisted on the need for political leaders to intervene and settle this crisis which is affecting the oil sector and had resulted from a personal disagreement between the minister and majority of the top officials of the oil sector who are known for their services to the country. He said he found the decision taken by the Cabinet to end the services of some KPC board members strange, as it was not appropriate in consideration of their positions and experience, and thus can be regarded as a huge offense for these officials. In addition, Head of Parliament's Budgets and Final Accounts Committee MP Adnan Abdulsamad rejected the changes made by Dr Al- Omair, affirming that these changes are aimed for the minister to obtain complete control of the sector by controlling the new board.
