(MENAFN- Emirates News Agency (WAM)) H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union (GWU), Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF) and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, today received US Ambassador to UAE Barbara A. Leaf at Al Bahr Palace.
During the meeting, Sheikha Fatima and the US envoy exchanged views on women issues. Also, Sheikha Fatima wished Ambassador Leaf success in her new task to further strengthen cooperation between the UAE and the US.
For her part, the US ambassador praised the role of Sheikha Fatima in empowering Emirati women in all fields. She also commended Sheikha Fatima's childhood and motherhood care initiatives, as well as her role in promoting social development issues.
