GCC industrial transactions reach USD23b


(MENAFN) The GCC's industrial sector recorded investments accumulated a sum of about USD23 billion, offering thus a number of 59.2k employment opportunities, Oman Daily Observer reported.

The figures came out according to the data of the Gulf Organization for Industrial Consulting (GOIC) IMI Plus, which added that the number of the joint industrial businesses reached 232 in 2013.

As for the international-foreign industrial ventures, they accumulated a total worth of around USD150.8 billion, offering 360k employment opportunities.

"GCC governments were particularly interested in encouraging joint Gulf projects." The Secretary-General of GOIC said in a statement.
