Singapore Airlines stops flights to New York

(MENAFN) Singapore Airlines (SIA) flew its last flight to New York on Monday after nine years of operating its nonstop commercial flight, according to Arab News. Experts say that the reason behind the cancellation of its long flight refers to the increasing prices of fuel since 2004. SIA spokesman said: "Food and refreshments were served to customers at the airport gate hold rooms in Singapore and Newark. Customers were also presented with commemorative gift sets and certificates."
