Health Ministers Launch Pan-Gulf CDC

Riyadh: Ministers of Health in the Gulf Cooperation Council GCC countries launched Saturday, October 22, at the council's HQ in Riyadh, the Gulf Center for Disease Prevention and Control.

The center aims to enhance coordination, transfer knowledge, and prevent the spread of communicable and non-communicable diseases across the GCC.

The inauguration coincided with the Minister's Committee meeting chaired by Saudi minister of health Fahd Al Jalajel, where they discussed implementing the joint health action plan, in addition to following up on the latest international health regulations, supporting the healthy cities initiative, and classification of health specialties in GCC states.
