Uganda steps up efforts to attract Chinese investors
(MENAFN) Uganda is looking to lure further investors from China along with boosting its sales through exploiting platforms that Chinese expositions provide.
Agreements valued at USD48 million were closed during a review meeting as Uganda joined the China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo.
Executive director of Uganda Export Promotion Board Elly Twineyo stated: "we are in Beijing and we are getting orders, we have got orders for flowers, fish, greens and cassava."
Twineyo added: "we also went to Changsha, we got big orders. We have also got partners who are willing to come and invest."
