Japan's economy grows less than expected

Tokyo, 09 Rabi'I,1438 AH, 08 December,2016 , SPA -- Japan's economy grew less than predicted in the third quarter, according to Japanese government figures published Thursday, dpa reported.
After revised calculations the world's third-largest economy grew at an annualized rate of 1.3 per cent in the July to September quarter.
Statisticians had previously forecast growth at 2.2 per cent.
Quarter-on-quarter growth was 0.3 per cent, compared with the predicted rate of 0.5 per cent.
