Egypt's inbound tourists number drop by 51pct


(MENAFN) Inbound tourist to Egypt during the first half of this year has dropped by 51.2 percent year-over-year.Accordingly, 2.3mn inbound tourists were recorded amid the cited period of 2016, compared to 4.8mn tourists among the same period of 2015.However, a 54.9 percent decline in Russian tourists from last year had the largest impact, followed by the UK with 14.9 percent drop and Germany with 6.4pct.In addition, the country"s civil aviation industry was exposed to many crisis over the course of just a few months.
