Saudi airforce intercepts ballistic missile from Yemen
JEDDAH, 23rd July 2016 (WAM) --- The Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) intercepted a ballistic missile fired from Yemen toward the Saudi city of Najran, the Saudi-led Arab Coalition backing the Yemeni legitimate government said in a statement.
Saudi state news agency SPA quoted the statement as saying the missile - launched at 9:30 am local time - was intercepted mid-air without causing any casualties.
The RSAF also destroyed the platform from which the missile was fired, the coalition's statement added.
