Qatar Merchandise Trade surplus hits USD2.05bn


(MENAFN) Qatar's whole exports of goods; including exports of goods of local origin and re-exports amounted to almost USD4.6bn in May 2016, a decrease of 31.4 percent.

However, the imports of goods in the cited month amounted to almost USD2.61bn, recording decline of 1.1 percent over May 2015.

Moreover, this year the foreign merchandise trade balance showed a surplus of USD2.05bn almost, a drop of almost USD2.1bn or 50.4 percent.

In addition, Japan was at the top of the nations of Qatar's exports with close to USD0.76bn, a share of 16.3 percent of all exports.
