Oman's gypsum exports to surpass 10mn tons by 2018

(MENAFN) Oman's gypsum exports are predicted to top 10mn tons in 2018, up from 5.85mn tons at the end of 2015, an increase which will position the Sultanate as global supplier.

The Sultanate will be crowned as the world's largest exporter of gypsum by 2018 on the back of surging output that emphasizes the potential of its mining sector.

Moreover, the export plans are ground-breaking for Oman's mining sector, Ramachandran, a major producer and exporter of Omani gypsum.

In addition, gypsum exports have the potential to drive the country's GDP growth among non-oil exports, make employment chances, and enhance income growth for the government.
