Ukraine impresses with solid resilience over Q1

(MENAFN) Ukraine's economy contracted severely following the years after the Soviet dissolution, and its recent inner political crisis and the constant harassment from neighboring Russia hasn't served its economic status any good.

However, the nation produces nearly all types of shipping vehicles, and it has many sectors that kept growing in the past year up to 2016's 1st quarter, especially the (IT) market, which topped all other Eastern European countries.

Its resilience earned some extra points with the presence of a very large heavy-industry base, not to mention the fact that it creates high-technological goods and transport products, which ranks it on top on many given lists.

Furthermore, the country was primarily aided through its hard times by the fact that it also produces and processes its own natural gas and petroleum, let alone owning sufficient coal reserves and increases its use in electricity generation.
