Sheikha Hind graduates from HEC Paris-Qatar

“It is a defining moment in our lives that transports us from the academic field to the work field which should not however hinder us from gaining more knowledge and more experience and keeping abreast with knowledge development in our field” said H E Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani Vice Chairperson and CEO of QF. She also graduated yesterday from HEC Paris-Qatar with an Executive MBA.

Sheikha Hind who completed her school education at QF’s Qatar Academy said: “I am proud to return to QF not only as a graduate but also as an employee in an official position to contribute to collective effort in achieving the vision upon which this institution was based especially since it represents a sophisticated educational infrastructure that caters through its performance and outputs to the requirements of Qatar’s vision. Just as you are witnessing at present the effect of QF in the labour market.”

“As you are passing today to the gate of the future you are joining thousands of graduates who are contributing each with his competence and specialization in development of sustainable economy in Qatar or wherever they are employed” she added. The graduates at ‘Convocation 16’ included 89 from Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar (CMU-Q) 108 from Texas A&M University at Qatar (TAMUQ) 41 from Northwestern University-Qatar (NU-Q) 62 from Virginia Commonwealth University Qatar (VCU-Q) 33 Weill Cornell Medicine–Qatar (WCM-Q) 68 Georgetown University School of Foreign Service in Qatar (GU-Q) 43 from University College of London –Qatar (UCL-Q) 94 from HEC Paris-Qatar and the highest number of 111 students from the HBKU. Among them 44 percent are Qataris.

Each university and graduate college has its own graduation ceremony but Convocation 2016’brought together every graduating student from across Education City including both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Education City Student’s Excellence Award was awarded to three outstanding graduates Hissa Gabr Al Noami from GU-Q Sana Zeenal Britto from CMU-Q and Vignesh Shanmugam from WCM-Q. Shoaib Rasheed a young Kuwaiti who is a media personality and social media activists delivered the guest speech sharing his inspirational experience.
