Hundreds take part in Terry Fox charity run

(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Hundreds took part in the 2015 edition of the Terry Fox Run in Qatar, a non-competitive and family fun run, walk or bike event and open to all ages and abilities held yesterday at the College of North Atlantic Qatar ( CNA-Q).
The course was a two kilometre lap around the CNA-Q campus, offering distances of 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10kms.
There was no minimum donation or registration fee required to take part in the charity event.
The run was organised by Canadians living in Qatar, in memory of Terry Fox, a notable Canadian hero, who at the age of 21, decided to run the length of a marathon each day across Canada to raise funds for cancer research. Since 2004, The Terry Fox Run in Qatar has raised QR1,000,000 for cancer research in Qatar.
