Yemeni gov't to continue mission from Aden despite attacks - Pres.


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Yemeni President Abdrabuh Mansur Hadi said Wednesday the recent terrorist attacks would not weaken the resolve of the legitimate government to continue discharging its duties from the southern city of Aden.
The government will start removing the wreckage and the large-scale destruction inflected on infrastructure of Aden government by the Houthi militia and coup supporters, President Hadi was quoted by the Saudi SPA as saying.
He made the comments while presiding over a meeting by the consultative authority.
"The attacks, carried out on Tuesday by terrorists against the temporary seat of the government and positions of the national army and the Arab collation forces, were meant to destabilize the country and serve the agenda of foreign hostile forces," he said.
The Yemeni President renewed his pledge to bring the country out of the current crisis "whatever the challenges might be." The meeting tackled of range of issues, including the domestic affairs of Yemen, the relief efforts for the conflict-hit people, the criminal acts of the Houthi militia, and the outcomes of President Hadi's visit to the UN where he attended the 70th UN General Assembly session.
