Moscow Denies Sending Warplanes to Syria to Fight Daesh


(MENAFN- Qatar News Agency) A source in the Russian defense ministry denied today reports about Russia sending warplanes to Syria to fight Daesh.

The source said in a statement to Russian television Channel (RT) "There has been no redeployment of Russian combat aircraft to the Syrian Arab Republic," adding "The Russian Air Force is at its permanent bases and carrying out normal troop training and combat duty." Earlier, Israeli press reports said that Moscow sent fighter jets to Syria to fight Daesh.
