MP: 'Kuwait Targeted'

(MENAFN- Arab Times) MP Khalil Abdullah Abul affirmed that the terrorist attack on Imam Al-Sadeq Mosque was not against a particular sect or mosque but the entire Kuwaiti society, saying the cowardly DAESH members do not go to war but only behead people to instill fear as a way of causing division among the populace, reports Al-Rai daily.

Abul disclosed this during a recent symposium wherein all participants unanimously agreed that national unity is the only weapon in the hands of Kuwaitis. The symposium was organized by the Students Viewpoint List affiliated to Britain and Ireland Chapter of the National Union of Kuwaiti Students inside the headquarters of Kuwait Lawyers Association.

He stressed the activities of DAESH in Egypt, Libya and Tunisia do not have any link to discrimination between Shiite and Sunni Muslims. He reiterated that the major objective of DAESH is to intimidate people to guarantee their safety. He affirmed some people are giving the perpetrators support and providing leeway for them to perpetrate the crime.
