OIC diplomats discuss Kuwait ministerial meeting resolutions implementation


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Permanent representatives of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation discussed in Jeddah Monday the implementation of resolutions of OIC Foreign Ministers, who met in Kuwait in May this year.

OIC assistants secretary general and departments head briefed the permanent representatives over measures taken to implement resolutions, in addition to improving common action and boosting solidarity among the member countries.

The meeting was chaired by Saleh Al-Saqabi, Kuwait's Consul General in Jeddah and its permanent representative to the OIC.

The participants condemned anew the terrorist attacks in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Tunisia, Egypt, Chad, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Somalia.

OIC secretary General Iyad Madani, in a statement to reporters, commended member states for their solidarity vis-a-vis major international issues like human rights, violations of international law in occupied Palestinian territories and East Jerusalem and protecting the rights of Muslim minority in Myanmar.
