(MENAFN- Arab Times) Indian Educational School (Bhavans Kuwait) was crowned overall champion of Balakalamela 2015 with 63 points which was held recently at the United Indian School premises in Jleeb Al Shuyoukh. Balakalamela is an interschool competition organized annually by Kala Kuwait for the students of Indian schools in Kuwait is one of the biggest platforms made available for the young expatriate students to display their dazzling gifts in an array of interschool competitions ranging from essay writing competition to performing arts.
The Benji Benson Ever Rolling Trophy was presented to IES amid joyousness of triumph by the chief guest of the day M.A. Baby - former minister for education, State of Kerala, India. In extolling the winners, the former minister, also praised the untiring efforts of Kala in helping the young expatriate community in Kuwait by organizing numerous art and cultural fiestas. The principal of Indian Educational School, T. Premkumar also congratulated the winners on their inspiring achievement.
Kala Kuwait is a progressive organization that takes up multifaceted endeavors ranging from charity programs to the promotion of art and culture among the Indians in Kuwait. More than 400 contestants from various Indian schools participated in the mega interschool contest. Contests were held under 17 categories at various venues. The contests were adjudged by eminent educators and professionals.
