ISO golden Certificate goes to Makkah Urban Observatory


(MENAFN- Saudi Press Agency) The Word Council for Cities Data (WCCD) has awarded ISO golden quality management system standard, the world's most prestigious quality certificate, to Makkah Urban Observatory as the city of Makkah is among the constituents of the WCCD.
In a statement here today, Dr. Osamah bin Fadhl Al-Barr, who received the highly-evaluated certificate at a special ceremony in London recently, said the certificate paves the way for Makkah to exchange knowledge and experience with the world's leading cities and international organizations and their corporate and academic partners who are heading for more innovation, portraying alternative futures and building better and most appropriate city living standards.
Giving more information, the Executive Manager of Makkah Urban Observatory Eng. Ahmed bin Hussein Al-Khalagi said the certificate is given to cities who completed all required data to the council according to ISO No. 37120 dealing with sustainable development for constructional societies, indices for city services, and life quality upon 2014 criteria.
