Rant Taurus strikes again in OFBC Friday Morning League
(MENAFN- Arab News) JEDDAH: No stopping Taurus with a week left before its official coronation as the No. 1 waiting finalist as it posted a perfect double on the way to the Team of the Week award during the 13th session in the the OFBC Friday Morning League 5+1 Season 4 at the Ice Land Bowling Center here.
It was the second straight team award and seventh overall for the rampant Taurus which shut out Zikato Strikers 20-0 on total pinfalls of 2 585-2 420. With rank points of 8 Taurus finished the session on perfect 28 with team captain Edwin Ronquillo making it a perfect double when he led from the front to shoot the high series of 597 and become the men's Bowler of the Week.
Also winning by shutout and compiling the second-best total of 25 points was D' Luf's Strikers who zeroed Troopers on total pinfalls of 2 472 and 2 065.
Selections stopped Cyclone 16-4 on total pinfalls of 2542-2493 and rank points of 7-6. Selections had a haul of 23 points on the day with Xtine Stone completing a double for the team by clinching the the ladies Bowler of the Week award on 515.
Also the result had Cyclone and Selections switching places with the final week of eliminations to determine if Selections will stay at second in the team standings or Cyclone to reclaim that spot in both teams' bid to join Taurus as the top three waiting finalists in the tournament sponsored by Zikato Construction through Operations Manager Albert Zuniga.
In the other match Krau Thai Restaurant whipped Guardians Thunder 18-2 (2 323-2 299 3-2). Krau Thai totaled 21 points on the day.
Hadi Pacheco and Fedelyn Bustinera rolled respective three-game series of 495 and 482 to complement Ronquillo's effort at Taurus with contributions of two games each from Ric Nangel 137-153 Jun Pamintuan 144-132 and Regino Mendoza 162-145.
Osman de Guzman carded the top score for Luf's on 501 followed by Nards Hassan 490 Carmen Duma 453 and Alexander Duma 170-165.
Along with Xtine Jude Vivero on 511 was the most productive for Selections which also drew 486 from Jhun Ejanda 165-137 from Rico Parcon 147-157 from Lexter Atienza and 145-143 from Thea Busico.
For Krau Thai the scorers were Alice Penus 486 Sid Lapena 482 Ed Labuac 481 and Bakin Llanes 409.
