Kuwait-Luxembourg talks to boost bilateral relations


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Kuwait's ambassador to the EU, Belgium and Luxembourg Dharar Abdul Razzak Razzooqi will hold a series of meetings with government officials and parliamentarians in Luxembourg Monday aimed at strengthening bilateral ties and cooperation.

Razzooqi told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) here today that he will discuss bilateral ties, regional issues and the importance of Luxembourg within the EU during his two-day meetings on Monday and Tuesday.

He noted that Luxembourg is supporting Kuwait for the lifting of Schengen visa.

The Kuwaiti ambassador is expected to meet Director for Political Affair at the Luxembourg Foreign Ministry Jean Olinger, head of protocol Sandra Thein and director of international relations and economic and European fairs Gaston Stronck.

He will also hold talks with speaker of the chamber of deputies Mars Di Bartolomeom and chairman of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the chamber of deputies.

Razzooqi said he will brief them on the situation in the region including developments in Yemen, Iraq, Iran Syria, the Middle East Peace Process.

The two countries will also discuss the formation of a joint committee that will promote economic and political issues, investments and education.

Razzooqi hoped that this committee will be ready for Kuwaiti First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah to put his signature to it when he comes to visit Belgium. (end) nk.mt
