Top officials prominent personalities pledge allegiance
(MENAFN- Arab News) Several top government and private sector leaders have pledged their allegiance to the new crown prince and his deputy.
Khaled Al-Sabti secretary-general of the King Abdul Aziz and His Companions Foundation for Talent and Creativity (Mawhiba) praised Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman for his choice of young people.
Al-Sabti said this would help build the Kingdom even stronger. He said the country was experiencing a form of renaissance under the king which bodes well for its growth and development.
The king's objective is to ensure the country develops a knowledge economy which would allow it to diversify its sources of income said Al-Sabti.
He pledged his allegiance to the new Crown Prince Mohammed bin Naif deputy premier and Deputy Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman the defense minister 'on behalf of all Mawhiba employees with my sincerest prayers.'
Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Zamil chairman of the Council of Saudi Chambers said the decision of King Salman was a step toward further development of the country and would strengthen its role in the region and the world.
He said the new crown prince is known for his administrative skills and knowledge of security issues and is a wise choice by the leadership as it seeks to protect the country and fight terrorism.
He said Prince Mohammed bin Salman had already demonstrated his abilities including as chairman of the Council of Economic Affairs and Development. The king's choice also showed that the leadership had confidence in the abilities of young people said Al-Zamil.
Mohammed bin Saeed Al-Alam undersecretary of Imam Muhammad bin Saud Islamic University said the king's decision would help promote social cohesion and national unity because young people are in touch with what is happening in today's fast-changing world.
He said the appointments reflect the decisive decision-making of the king since he took over the reins of government earlier this year and would ensure the country's continued development.
The governor of the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation Nasser Al-Ghafees said that citizens trust the two princes to help lead the country because of their services to the nation recently.
