Municipal Council chief congratulates His Highness the Amir on success of Syria conf.
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) Chairman of the Municipal Council Mahlhal Al-Khaled congratulated His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah on the success of the Kuwait-hosted the Third International Humanitarian Pledging Conference for Syria.
In statements to KUNA Wednesday, Al-Khaled said that the world recognizes the great humanitarian role of His Highness the Amir and his support to relief aid to people in distress around the world.
\He cited the recent UN proclamation of the His Highness the Amir as a "Humanitarian Leader" and of Kuwait a "Humanitarian Center" as a reflection of the world appreciation of this role.
Al-Khaled lauded His Highness the Amir's announcement of generous USD 500 million-Kuwaiti donation to support humanitarian efforts to ease the suffering of Syrian refugees.
