Saudi- Operations begin at Sipchem's plastics plant
(MENAFN- Arab News) JEDDAH: Preliminary operations have begun at a new plastics plant owned by an affiliate of Saudi International Petrochemical Co. (Sipchem) which should lead to production starting in April Sipchem said on Tuesday.
The Sipchem Chemicals Co. plant located in Jubail Industrial City will manufacture up to 63000 tons per year of polybutylene terephthalate (PBT) resin according to a statement on Saudi's bourse.
PBT is a thermal polymer used in electrical and electronic material production in the automotive and information technology industries the statement added.
