Saudi- Bridal beauty: How to work out a fitness plan

(MENAFN- Arab News) Planning a wedding can be a hectic time in every bride's life.The mind is consumed with roses tulips or peonies the perfect shade of white sequins or lace short or long veil pearls or diamonds a day or night wedding the guest list the lists are endless.

It's a time consuming task until the day arrives and everything is perfect.

Brides tend to lose themselves in the process and forget to take care of their mental and physical health as well ironic actually since the most important people of the wedding are both bride and groom.

A bride must find the serenity and balance in order for everything to go smoothly; exercise is always a great medication.

We've all heard of these intense fad diets and exercise regimens that promise instant weight loss and what not.

The truth is that there is no magical treatment to fix everything and it's neither practical nor real.

A real workout regimen starts with the person actually acknowledging there is a need for a change not instant but gradual. The balance is then gradually achieved.

Every bride is concerned with how the dress fits how it accentuates one's figure just like all the Disney princesses with their perfect flowy dresses.

The shape and silhouette of the dress is important in choosing the right dress and necklines play a major role too.

Whether it be halter sweetheart strapless v-neck cowl short sleeves or long sleeves the choices can be overwhelming but one thing for sure no bride should ever look ill-fitting in her dress.

Hala Dakhil one of Jeddah's top sport nutritionists and fitness gurus had some tips for future brides.

There are certain target areas that highlight a bride's physique such as the shoulders arms and back that should be toned and lean.

Hala's regimen doesn't involve extreme tactics instead she goes for lean and tone instead of bulked up.

She shares some advice: 'As important as it is to work out and eat healthy whether you have an event or not it's still more pressure and even more important when you do have an event.People usually start planning for their wedding from about 1 year to 3 months before the wedding which gives you plenty of time to start leading that healthy lifestyle.'

The major body parts that are most concentrated on are the back shoulders arms and the waist so brides should concentrate most on these body parts to accentuate the beauty of the physique on the special day in the most special dress.

Here is what the fitness instructor has advised:

Focus on different types of workouts at least 4-5 times a week;

a mixture of high intensity workouts strength yoga and barre on day 6 or 7;

swimming is highly recommended.

Changing up your workouts is very important in order for you to confuse your muscles and allow them to change faster as well as working on every muscle group despite what matters to you the most.

Hala reminds brides that this is a lifestyle not just a phase before the wedding so not only will these workouts change the body but even better it will change a bride's mood.

'A bride always has so much on her mind and stresses most of the time so having these different workouts in your life will make you feel stronger better healthier and the adrenaline rush your body will get every day will help relieve you from all that anxiety and stress.'

Any lifestyle adjustment is never complete without a proper diet; again there is no magical potion that will result in instant health.

With all the ups and downs in a bride's anxiety and mood swings it can be easy for any bride-to-be to fall off the boat and binge on anything unhealthy.

A cheat meal is acceptable every once in a while but nothing too extreme.

Hala instructs brides and emphasizes constantly that food is the most important factor in achieving a healthy lifestyle all those extreme fad diets have nothing to do with health and might even harm one.

'I believe having the things you like in moderation is fine but if you really want to lose weight and still have that healthy look you want to focus on eating healthy than eating less or not eating at all (juicing).'

Have your healthy complex carbs in the morning before your workout.

Go easy on the sugar if you must have it with your coffee (coconut sugar is a great substitute).

Snack on a vegetable fruit or some almonds about two hours after.

For lunch have your protein veggies and maybe a little more carbs if you had a crazy workout (quinoa sweet potato or whole wheat pasta).

Don't wait to get hungry again two hours after have another fruit or veggie or maybe even yogurt.

Finish off with a very light dinner combined with protein and veggies or salad.

Most importantly avoid trans fats anything fried white bread white rice white sugar eating late at night.

With achieving these goals set by Hala she assures that brides-to-be will be closer to their dream body and to a healthier lifestyle for the long run and not just for the moment.
