(MENAFNEditorial) Baruni, a home-grown women's fashion brand, hasunveiled its Autumn/Winter 2015 collection under the title'The Queen of the Sands' which evokes the strength and regal qualities of the desert. The founder of the label, Fadwa Baruni, says she was inspired by the UAE's Sahara (desert) to create a collection of 30different designs for ladies.
This collection is now available to order for the wide range of boutiques and department stores in the region. The design phase is complete and the collection will go into production in May to be in the stores by August.
'The Queen of the Sands' reflects shades and textures of the desert. The colors range frombeige, yellow, deep green, brown and purple reflecting the different colors of the desert from dawn to sunset. The collection is targeted for women aged between 25 and 50. Many of the pieces are for day-to-day use with its loose comfortable cut, while others are designed for glamourous nights-out and special occasions. Rich colors and distinctive textures combine to create a visual feast.
"The desert is a beautiful and striking place. With dawn rising over the desert, it sharpens the senses as the light and wind rise to greet the day. There is unbelievable beauty in this arid, empty landscape, inspiring both physically and emotionally. We created 'The Queen of the Sands' collection to offerladies in the regionperfect ideal outfits for every occasion."
Baruni will be offering the new Autumn/Winter collection in several stores across the UAE, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait from September.
Fadwa shifted form the use of light-weight silk in her summer and spring collections to heavier silk and woollen fabric most of which are with embroidery.
"You'll see the impact of Sahara's inspirations in our designs through use of textured effects in fabrics, unique embroidery and lace, and vibrant but soothing use of colors",said Fadwa.
"For every season, the designs and trends are always changing, as well as the predominant colors. At Baruni, we consider these an important segment for the creation of clothes as it won't be the same fabric for summer. The fabric choice determines how comfortable you feel, important as we put as much emphasis on comfortas we do in our designs," she added.
The fabrics and cuts reflect the fluid shapes of the dunesand the spirit of the Queen of the Sands.
In the UAE, Baruni collectionsare available at Professionnel Boutique in Dubai Mall, Salam Studios and Stores in Mirdiff City Centre Mall and House of Fraser in World Trade Centre Mall.
In Qatar, it can be found in Fifty One East in Lagoona Mall. Also, it is available inETRE in KSA and in Designer Lounge, Avenues Mall, Kuwait.
