Occupancy rate in Dubai hotels hit 87 percent


(MENAFN) Hotels in Dubai recorded an average occupancy of over 87 percent last month, despite supply outpacing demand for the month, Arabian Business reported. STR Global's February data for Dubai reveal that occupancy stood at 87.2 percent during the month, increasing 1.2 percent same period a year ago. The data also show that the emirate's supply and demand increase 7.4 percent and demand 6.2 percent, respectively, in March. Positive revenue per available room (RevPAR) growth was recorded in the month, increasing 2.8 percent.
