Venezuelan President to skip Summit of Americas
(MENAFN) Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has reportedly declared his decision to skip the two-day Summit of Americas in Peru.
Even though the Venezuelan president received an invitation for the summit, Peruvian authorities withdrew it shortly after.
After they revoked his invitation, President Maduro confirmed more than once his determination to be present at the event.
The state TV reported the president declaring "last night I made a decision that I would not go to the Summit of Americas in Lima. I will stay with my nation to celebrate the failure of the 2002 coup."
