Saudi- LG TVs support HDR and Dolby Vision technology
(MENAFN- Arab News) LG Electronics Saudi Arabia, a global manufacturer of electric and electronic devices, has announced that all its 2016 OLED TVs support HDR10 and Dolby Vision formats.
HDR10 format is approved by the Ultra HD Alliance while Dolby Vision has already been adopted by major studios and service providers and it is the preferred format for filmmakers and content providers.
LG OLED TVs are stated to produce perfect blacks and flawlessly render crisp, vibrant colors and rich shadow details, even when bright objects are directly next to deep, dark areas (unlike LCD TVs, which have a halo effect from light bleeding).
LG OLED TVs can render more than a billion possible color variations, thanks to electronic panels and efficient processor, which allow these sets to portray the original cinematic content.
LG OLED TVs can display the finest details of color and gradation. What''s better is that OLED''s incomparable picture quality holds up even from wide viewing angles so everyone can appreciate its color and clarity from any seat in the house. The same cannot be said for most LCD TVs, which suffer from color washout and lower contrast when off-axis.
HDR expands a TV''s ability to display the degrees of difference between the whitest whites and the blackest blacks on the screen. As a result, any scene from an HDR-formatted movie appears in greater detail. LG TVs carry this stamp.
Experts indicate that for the foreseeable future, HDR will be one of the key selling points for better quality 4K Ultra HDTV sets..
