Dubai Hosts 9th Edition of Dubai Anaesthesia Conference and Exhibition this Thursday

DUBAI 1th March 2016 (WAM) -- Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum Deputy Ruler of Dubai UAE Minister of Finance and President of the Dubai Health Authority Dubai Anaesthesia Conference and Exhibition in its 9th edition will begin this Thursday 3rd of March at the Mohammed bin Rashid Academic Medical Centre in Dubai Healthcare City. Held annually Dubai Anaesthesia is considered the leading event of its kind in the MENA region. It attracts top-notch local and international speakers and professionals specialised in anaesthesiology and pain management.

This year Dubai Anaesthesia Exhibition witnesses the participation of 60 companies to showcase the most updated medical devices equipment and products in this field. Running parallel to the exhibition the Dubai Anaesthesia Conference will cover a rich scientific agenda that includes 50 scientific lectures presented by over 40 prominent speakers from the region and the world. The conference agenda for this year includes several intensive scientific sessions and short presentations featuring novel researches of consultant doctors anaesthesiologists anaesthetists and professors of anaesthesiology. More than 55 countries are represented in the leading Anaesthesia Critical Care and Pain Management Event in the region.

Dr. Nicola Volpe Consultant in Anaesthesia and Intensive Care Medicine in Southmead Hospital and a speaker at the conference said "During Dubai Anaesthesia I will be discussing the support of blood circulation during anaesthesia in order to improve organ perfusion and consequently ensure the surgical success. During which I will review the most up to date clinical and experimental evidence that has been produced about the subject."

Dr. Athina Vadalouca Associate Professor of Anaesthesia Pain Management and Palliative Care at the University of Athens President of The Hellenic Society of Pain Management and Palliative Care and a speaker at the conference said "There is no doubt that Dubai Anaesthesia provides up to date knowledge in anaesthesia and contributes to the betterment of healthcare services. During this edition I will be presenting two topics that will rotate around the recognition of the Neuropathic component of cancer pain and the knowledge of epidural and spinal techniques for intractable cancer pain which is important for improved patient selection and better analgesia."

Dubai Anaesthesia Conference this year will discuss several topics that will include Airway Management Anesthetic Management Cardiothoracic Anesthesia Gynecology and Obstetric Anaesthesia Intubation Pain Management Paediatric Anaesthesia Perioperative Pain Management and Polytrauma. The event will also witness the participation of heads of anaesthesia departments from different hospitals in the region to highlight the importance of sharing best practices and experience in this specialised field from a regional perspective.
