Saudi Foreign Minister denies existence of Pakistani mediation between Saudi Arabia and Iran

MANAMA 24rd January 2016 (WAM)--Saudi Foreign Minister Adel Al-Jubeir has denied the existence of Pakistani mediation between Saudi Arabia and Iran the Bahrain News Agency (BNA) has reported.

Al Jubeir was quoted as saying today on the sidelines of the First Ministerial Arab - Indian Session currently hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain that "Iran knows what is required from it."

He revealed that some countries offered to mediate between Riyadh and Tehran noting that there would be no mediation unless Iran responds.

The Saudi Foreign Minister said that Iran for over 35 years has been adopting aggressive policies towards the Arab world in terms of interferences in the Arab world's internal affairs sowing discord and sectarian strife and supporting terrorism.

Al Jubeir said that Iran is on the list of states sponsoring terrorism by the United Nations and many countries including Saudi Arabia.
