Indian SpiceJet orders 150 jets

(MENAFN) India's SpiceJet plans to place a huge order of 150 jets from both industry behemoths; US Boeing and EU's Airbus according to the latest reports.

This big-cash purchase will cap a notable turnaround for India's second-biggest budget airline by market share, which came close to collapse late last year.

SpiceJet has logged profits in Jan-Sep period, having made losses in the five earlier quarters, plus it seems that it's making enough money to pay for the order.

"The firm is in healthy shape, it is generating cash, and it's profitable. If oil prices remain moderate, there's no reason why this profitability shouldn't continue," said the Co-founder.
